Meeting for restaraunt staff

Hello!

All employees present at work should participate in shift meetings, or as we call them “five minutes”. Why do we recommend it?

This is a great opportunity for the team to quickly get important, and most importantly - relevant information from the supervisor/manager. Taking into account that in this meeting format the supervisor does not have much time to tell everything necessary, and the information is voiced in essence, emphasizing the most important points, we highly recommend always being on time for such meetings. Each manager determines a list of relevant information that needs to be communicated to the team. Here are some examples of what may be discussed at shift meetings:

1. The sales plan for the month.

2. Summarizing the sales totals:
  • for yesterday's shift;
  • for the period from the beginning of the month to the present shift.

3. Setting goals for:
  • sales (in monetary terms);
  • start list - what you need to actively sell today;
  • sales of a certain assortment;
  • average check.

4. Passing promotions:
  • setting goals for the action;
  • summarizing the results of the action.

5. Practicing and/or repeating:
  • service/service standards;
  • sales techniques;
  • colorful description of food and drinks.

6. Sounding out the stop list.

7. Mistakes made on the job, without identifying individuals.

8. Motivation of employees:
  • congratulating an employee on his/her birthday;
  • to note the best employee (sales in monetary terms, sales of assortment, etc.).

9. Current issues.

10. Checking employee compliance with uniform standards.

11. Exchange of information and opinions.

At the meetings, everyone can ask working questions (and it is important not to be shy!). At the same time, remember - there is not much time - after all, guests will be arriving soon.
Take the opportunity to participate in meetings. Being productive, talking, and asking substantive questions is a great opportunity to become informed and build your professionalism every day.
